Celestial thoughts

And I’m small again
Learning my first steps, falling down
With that smile of yours shining down
like a ray of light.
And I’m happy, just for a bit
A memory that hangs forever in time.

Suddenly celestial stars swirl around me
and I’m back where I am now.

Stars on my right, moon on my left.
I drift around a bit aimlessly.
What to do?
I could reorganize the galaxy,
explode some stars, here or there
I could shatter civilizations,
and open rifts in time and space.

But then I remember what I did to you.
What I did to your home.
What I did to our home.
And I throw down my tools of gold,
my irises of destruction,
my life of ghosts.

And your whispers
Invades my mind, my soul, my ears,
and your smile
breaks my heart, my brain, my fingers
And I am gone.
Along with the ghosts that I brought
with me.
